I bought the DVD when it came out at Midnight on the 9th (or 8th, whatever day that was.) I was at the Blockbuster release party watching it 2 hours before it came out. Don’t believe me, here’s a photo of me at Blockbuster I snagged from the http://www.energy927fm.com/ website.
Anyway, this film is great both in theatres and on DVD. The story is incredibly well written and it has to be the darkest Batman film they have ever done. It’s also the first not to have the word “Batman” in the title. Bale and Ledger are both brilliant in this film. The character development is unbelievable and the film keeps you on your toes. I’ve watched it 3 times since it was released and am looking forward to it being brought back into the theatres in January. Only $77 million to go before it hits the $1 BILLION dollar mark. Now that says something about the film.
