Matt Damon is Jason Bourne

It has been confirmed that Matt Damon has signed on the reprise his role as Jason Bourne in the fourth installment of the “Bourne” franchise. Robert Ludlum had written the first three films as books, but there are more books on the Jason Bourne character from somebody else. In case you’ve been living under a rock the last six years, Jason Bourne films are espionage action films that star Matt Damon as assassin Jason Bourne, who when we first see him is a man with no memory but skills and training that make him a deadly weapon and a past that wont leave him alone. Doug Liman (Swingers) directed the first installment “The Bourne Identity” in 2002, which went on to make $121 million domestically. Paul Greengrass (United 93) directed the second installment “The Bourne Supremacy” in 2004, which made $176 million domestically. In 2007, Greengrass returned for the biggest hit from the franchise, “The Bourne Ultimatum”, which went on to make an impressive $228 million. Along with Damon returning, Paul Greengrass from the previous two installments is returning as director. This has proved to be a lucrative franchise of films and it’s nice to see its star performer dedicated to his character and continue playing him so studios wont reinvent the series with someone else.
