Farewell to Joaquin Phoenix

No, he’s not dead. He is however saying farewell to the film industry and his acting career apparently. Actor Joaquin Phoenix stated at a Paul Newman benefit that the film he is currently filming will be his last performance. Phoenix later stated that he is leaving acting to focus on a music career. Phoenix’s last film is currently being filmed and is called “Two Lovers”, which co-stars Gwyneth Palthrow and hits theaters February. Phoenix is known for such films as “Ladder 49″, “Gladiator”, and “Walk the Line” (the last two were Oscar nods) and for being brothers to the late actor River Phoenix. Phoenix is a talented actor and I think he is making a mistake leaving acting. He is definitely capable of winning an Oscar and turning out great performances. Besides, how many actors succeed when they leave acting just to focus on a music career?
